Overview

Safety and insurance protect everyone on HirePanther. This guide explains what providers and customers are each responsible for, the coverage providers need, how to keep insurance documents current, and what to do if something goes wrong during a booking.

Provider responsibilities

  • Work safely and within the scope of the services you list.
  • Hold the appropriate insurance for the work you perform.
  • Keep your documents and verification up to date.
  • Report incidents promptly and cooperate with any investigation.

Customer responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, accessible work area for the provider.
  • Share any hazards or access details before the booking.
  • Treat providers respectfully and allow them to work safely.

HirePanther’s role

  • Investigate reported safety incidents promptly.
  • Enforce standards and act on unsafe or non-compliant behaviour.
  • Provide resources that help providers manage risk.

Insurance coverage

Depending on the work you do, relevant coverage may include:

  • Commercial General Liability (CGL) — for third-party injury or property damage.
  • Commercial Auto Insurance — where a vehicle is used for the work.
  • Workers’ Compensation — where you employ staff.

Typical coverage applies to accidental property damage during a booking, customer injuries linked to your service, third-party bodily injury claims, and legal costs from covered incidents. It generally does not cover intentional damage, off-platform arrangements, unlicensed work, false claims, or jobs outside your listed scope.

Keep your documents current

  1. Upload your insurance documents in your provider dashboard.
  2. Watch for expiry reminders so your coverage never lapses.
  3. Renew and re-upload before the expiry date to keep your status active.

Report an incident

  1. Ensure safety — attend to anyone hurt and make the area safe.
  2. Report to HirePanther as soon as possible with the details.
  3. Contact your insurer if a claim may be involved.
  4. Investigation & resolution — cooperate with the review.
  5. Follow-up — complete any required steps or documentation.

Note: Not keeping coverage current can lead to warnings, retraining requirements, or suspension until your documents are updated.

Tips

  • Set a calendar reminder ahead of your policy renewal date.
  • Only accept jobs that fall within your listed service scope and coverage.
  • Report incidents early — prompt reporting leads to faster resolution.
  • KYC identity verification for providers
  • Disputes: how they’re resolved
  • Opening & tracking a support ticket
